Where are they now
Some were one hit wonders, others had their share of success but then just seemed to have vanished. Have you ever wondered what happened to some of the stars from favorite and not so favorite shows? A little research has revealed some info on their current life. This listing in far from being complete, if you know of any who would fit in here or if you have more current info on any of the folks already listed, I would love to hear from you!! :-) Check out my "wish list" of stars I would like to find info on!
Meeno Peluce: starred with the late Jon Erik Hexum in "Voyagers". He now works as a teacher in California and is half brother to Soleil Moon Frye with whom he still works with on occasion. Michael Gray: Starred as Billy Batson in the 70's show "Shazam". Married and operates a store with his wife. (believe it is a flower shop) Brian Foster: The second Chris Partridge on the "Partridge Family" races cars! Leif Garrett: Teen heartthrob from the 70's fronts the group Godspeed (not sure if they are still together) and also has had his share of problems with the law (drug related). Philip McKeon: starred as Tommy Hyatt in "Alice". He is Nancy McKeon's (Jo from the Facts of Life) older brother. He works behind the scenes now as a producer. Lance Kerwin: "James at 15" star is now a drug counselor at a CA drug rehab camp. Bobby Sherman: Early 1970's singing idol is now a EMT in California. Ike Eisenmann: Star of the Disney classics "Escape to Witch Mountain" and "Return From Witch Mountain" is married and lives somewhere in California and still does occasional work in the entertainment field. Ricky Segall: The cute little next door neighbor of the "Partridge Family" is now married with kids and is a pastor in Texas. John Lansing: Played "Doc" on the mid 1970's "The Kids From C.A.P.E.R" now spends most of his time behind the scenes as a producer and writer. But, he has been known to step in front of the camera on rare occasions. Soleil Moon Frye: Best remembered as "Punky Brewster". Recently got married and still works on TV and does theatre and also works with her half brother Meeno Peluce on different projects. Randy Mantooth: PlayedJohn Gage, a paramedic/firefighter on "Emergency". Still working on stage and screen. He also spends time working with the "Make A Wish" charity as well as other charitable organizations.. Wesley Eure: He starred as Will Marshall on "The Land Of The Lost" and then moved onto "Days of Our Lives" where he played Mike Horton. In the 1990's Wesley became a writer penning children's books (The Red Wings Of Christmas) as well as adult humor books. (Did you know that Wesley also sang the theme song to Land of the Lost during season two and three?!)
Ronald Pailillo : Best remembered as Arnold Horshack on "Welcome Back Kotter". Illustrates children's books ( Wesley Eure's The Red Wing Of Christmas!!!) teaches acting and has directed a few plays. Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs: Best known as Freddy "Boom Boom" Washington on "Welcome Back Kotter". He still acts on occasion and has recorded several albums. Alison Arngrim: She was the Nellie Olsen on "Little House On The Prairie. Does stand up comedy as "Prairie Bitch", no I kid you not, I am not making this up! :-)
Justine Bateman: Played Mallory on Family Ties. Now has her own fashion design business. Danielle Brisebois: She was the little girl that Archie Bunker took in to raise. She now sings for her supper! Maureen McCormick: She won your hearts as Marcia Brady, but today she still acts and has recorded an acclaimed country CD. Billy Mumy: Danger Will Robinson!! That's right he played on Lost In Space. He now sings, writes his own music, and does do an occasional stint in front of the camera! Butch Patrick: You loved him as Eddie Munster and he now lives in Florida. Eve Plumb: The middle sister on the "Brady Bunch". Still in acting business. Joyce Dewitt: Played Janet on "Three's Company". After the show ended in 1984, she spent about 10 years trying to "find herself". She is now back in the acting scene. Richard Kline: He played Larry Dallas on "Three's Company". He still acts on a fairly regular basis, his most recent stint was a guest appearance on That 70's Show. Shaun Cassidy: Half brother to teen idol, David, Shaun had his own shot at the teen idol thing when he played Joe Hardy in "The Hardy Boys" and recorded a few albums. Today much of his creative efforts are behind the scenes writing and producing TV shows. He is the brain behind the cult favorite TV show "American Gothic. " Parker Stevenson: He played Frank Hardy in the "Hardy Boys" in the 70's series. His name was in the news for a while because of the bitter divorce that he and his wife, Kirstie Alley, were engaged in. Parker has been working steadily since his Hardy Boys days came to an end. His most recent venture into acting is a made for TV movie called "Trapped". Pamela Sue Martin: For a season she starred as Nancy Drew the famous girl detective on TV in the 1970's. She then worked as Fallon on "Dynasty". Currently she is said to live in Idaho and does a lot of stage work. Sonny Shroyer: You knew him as "Enos", the dimwitted deputy on "The Dukes of Hazzard". He even had a short lived show of his own entitled "Enos". He still acts and his most recent piece of work is a movie with Angela Bisset, Cicely Tyson called the "Rosa Parks Story." Stephen Shortridge: They brought him in to fill the void left on "Welcome Back Kotter" with the departure of John Travolta. After the show was cancelled Stephen did some work on TV. One of his most recent appearances was as himself on "Welcome Back Kotter: The E! True Hollywood Story in 2000. But his new claim to fame is being a successful artist under the name of Stephen Charles Shortridge JoAnna Cameron: You probably remember her best as" ISIS " in the live action kids show back in the middle 1970's. She left the entertainment business in the early 80's and now works as a nurse in California. I did find a photo of her that is supposed to be fairly recent but I don't know exactly how recent it is! Randall Carver: He played John Burns, the small town naïve guy on "Taxi" back in 1978. He now lives in California with his fiancee (they may have married by now!!). He also continues to act and also is an acting coach for new and well as established stars. Lydia Cornell: She was Sara Rush on "Too Close For Comfort", but she is now a best selling author, brains AND beauty, some gals just seem to have it all! Check out her site. Richard Hatch: (Not to be confused with the guy who won the prize on the first Survivor show!!) He was Apollo on "Battlestar Galactica". Richard is not only a talented actor, but he is a motivational speaker, and a successful author! Check out his site and catch up on the latest news! Ben Murphy: We loved him as Jedediah "Kid" Curry (Thaddeus Jones) on Alias Smith and Jones, the TV western from the 70's. Ben also went on to play in "Gemini Man" and some other movies and the highly rated mini series "Winds of War". He has done a few episodes of "J.A.G" in 1995 and an episode of "The District" in 2000, so guess it is safe to safe that Ben is still working in the business. Anyone have up to date info on him? Hudson Brothers: You might remember them from the early 70's. They had their own Saturday morning show called "The Razzle Dazzle Show". They also had a few hit songs one of them being "So You're A Star". (sadly, I admit, I don't remember the rest) Mark, Brett and Bill Hudson are still involved in the entertainment industry in one form or another. Bill Hudson (who was married to Goldie Hawn and is the father of their actress-daughter Kate Hudson) is now married to Cindy Williams (Shirley of "Laverne and Shirley" fame) and they have their own production company. Mark is a successful songwriter having given some material to Hanson for their "Middle of the Road" CD as well as writing "Living on the Edge" a bit hit for rock group Aerosmith. And, last but not least, Brett is involved in television production. Judson Scott: You probably remember him best as "Bennu" on the TV show "The Phoenix". He has done work in TV and movies since his appearance in the series back in 1982. His most recent work is on the X-Files playing Absalom. Linwood Boomer: He played Adam Kendall the blind hubby of Mary Ingalls on "Little House on the Prairie". After he left the series he went on to act in other projects. But his talents soon turned to working behind the scenes. He wrote and produced episodes of the series "Silver Spoons" as well as "Night Court" and he now can take credit for creating hit series "Malcolm in the Middle". Robby Benson: a teen idol who many of us remember best from his role in the 1976 film "Ode to Billy Joe" based on the 1960's hit song of the same name. Robby began his acting career at the age of 15 when he joined the cast of the soap opera "Search For Tomorrow" and he has worked steadily ever since whether it is acting, directing or lending his voice to cartoons. The bulk of Robbie's work in recent years has been behind the scenes. He recovered well from heart surgery in 1984 and is married and father of two kids. Paul Michael Glaser: David Starsky from "Starsky and Hutch". Paul spends a lot of his time being an AIDS activist since the death of his wife in 1994 from the disease that she contracted during a blood transfusion. He also finds time to direct mostly sports oriented movies. Charlene Tilton: You recall her as Lucy Ewing on "Dallas". She married country singer Johnny Lee and they had a daughter Cherish who is also an actress. Charlene is slowly getting back into the acting scene. Tina Yothers: The youngest daughter on "Family Ties" now fronts the rock group "Jaded". Gary Burghoff: Radar on the series M.A.S.H (and the movie) is now a fairly successful artist and he is also back in the acting scene doing theatre and has hosted a PBS series called "Pets; Part of the Family". He divides his time living in Connecticut and California. Fred Dryer: He was Rick Hunter on the TV series "Hunter". Check out his official site. Thom Bray: He was Murray "Boz" Bozinsky on Riptide. He now spends most of his time working behind the scenes. His most recent venture is as consulting producer on the show Nash Bridges. Grant Goodeve: He played the oldest son on "Eight Is Enough" and now he hosts a show called Northwest Backroads out of Seattle Washington. Connie Newton: played Elizabeth Bradford on "Eight Is Enough" has retired from acting and now teaches dance. Susan Richardson: She played Susan Bradford on "Eight is Enough" she now lives in Pennsylvania and spends lots of time working for charities. Laurie Walters: Joannie Bradford on "Eight is Enough" has retired from acting and lives in California. Michael Lembeck: He was Kaptain Kool from "Kaptain Kool and the Kongs" a 70's Saturday morning show. He now spends most of his time behind the scenes directing. He is the son of Harvey Lembeck. Ted Lange: Played Issac the hip bartender on the "Love Boat". Ted spends lots of time behind the camera, directing and writing. Jill Whelan: Played Vicky Stubing on the "Love Boat". Spends most of her time being a full time mom, but has on occasion stepped in front of the camera. Brodie Greer: He played "Barry Baricza" on CHIPS. He did some acting after the show ended, but now works as a real estate agent in California. Bruce Penhall: He played Bruce Nelson on "CHIPS". Today he spends time racing power boats.
